LIONLION X STEVE MADDEN

When Teresa and I were gifted a pair of troppa boots each by Steve Madden, I was super excited, the troppa is so easy to wear, and versatile! Not to mention comfortable -Its been a while since i wore genuinely comfortable shoes, and I would equate the troppa boot to walking on clouds. An added bonus are the zips up the side because you don't need to unlace and lace your boots each time.

I matched my lovely new troppas, with the rag and bones jeans seen in a recent post by teresa, to create an all over light look, bringing a bit of brightness back in to drearyness of winter. I then softened the look with a classic black knit by glassons and the regular rocco, as to not blind hung over city goers in the street, with my brightness-hehe.  Lastly I added a touch of my red Chanel lipstick, linking with the red strips throughout the pant.

Hawkeye Vintage Launch Party

If you've been following us on Instagram or Facebook, you would know that recently, we have been working with the lovely Dani at Hawkeye Vintage. Last Friday was super exciting because it was the launch of her very own pop up store on Greville Street, and we had the opportunity to host! The turn out was great and as always, the clothing was amazing and one of a kind. Having free reign of her collection, we both ended up choosing vintage Versace shirts to wear. Bronte paired hers with an Hermes scarf and I paired mine with a Dior spray jacket. How many girls can actually say that sentence??? Needless to say, we were in fashion heaven and I would die there if I could!

So what can you expect from this pop-up shop? The best designer vintage clothes in pristine condition of course! Being a jet setter, Dani has sourced all her amazing vintage designer pieces from London, Paris, LA, New York and Tokyo. Vintage Hermes, Chanel, Dior, YSL, Versace, Kenzo and Celine litter her store, making it every girl's dream wardrobe. The best part is that these designer pieces won't break your bank. Where else will you be able to get an Hermes scarf for just $260??

The pop up shop will only be open for two weeks so pop by when you can! You'll most likely see our delightful faces! ;) Photos from our photoshoot with Hawkeye Vintage to come. Can't wait for you to see them!

Modern Vampires of the City

Sass and Bide Blazer/ Gorman Shirt/ Gorman Boots/ Mink Pink Skirt/ Bailey Nelson Eyewear

It's been getting a little cold, in rainy old Melbourne lately, really starting to seem like winter, and I'm all  buzz with excitement. I love my winter fashion almost too much! Not many people look forward to the dreary months ahead, but I do! Its a chance to layer and layer outfits, to sit by fires (or heaters in my case) and drink chai lattes.
I don't mean to get all artsy with you, but I feel I should mention my inspiration for this particular 'fit: Modern Vampires of the Weekend, the long awaited return album By Vampire Weekend is finally out! And its got me feeling all NewYork cool, and patterned, and fabulous. I've been waiting so long to wear this blazer its crazy, and once I laid eyes on the Gorman velvet shirt, I knew tit would work perfectly with clashing triangular prints.
The leather skirt was a last minute addition when my new black silk pants didnt manage to come in time, but I like it! A little sexy, and allows me to show a little skin while I still can. The gormans of-course once again made an appearance, I am mad for these shoes!
Finally Eyewear was supplied by the lovely people at Bailey Nelson on Greville, their range is amazing, and these sunnies, seriously!

Combat boot up!

Mint was definitely my favourite colour last winter and it looks like it's staying that way this year! Last year, I stuck to pairing it with blacks, but taking inspiration from an amazing Zara scarf print shirt, I decided to change things up by mixing it with navy! An issue that I always have in winter, is that my printed shirts are always lost underneath hundreds of layers. This stepped hem jumper from Asos fixes all my problems by allowing the amazing scarf print to shine! I finished off the outfit with some amazing military boots from Steve Madden and a black leather cap. The 'Troppa' boot edges up the pyjama inspired outfit and are super comfy for all those days I have to run to classes! An added bonus are the zips up the side because you don't need to unlace and lace your boots each time. I've got so many assignments coming up but we have a backlog of things to do so hopefully posts will still be coming your way!
